Mycenae has been inhabited since people carved stone, moved boulders, shaped copper or gold, wrote by drawing symbols on the gate, tamed the winds with knowledge, and for their ships, they designed roads so that they could travel further, to move to other Mycenaean centers. With Minoan Crete, they would transmit to humanity a rich civilization, poetically embellished with myths and history.
In the palace of Mycenae, inside the large circular hearth, is the throne room, the center of the area. Surrounded by frescoes, officials and warriors, noble privileged (elite) are gathered around the king. They will celebrate by drinking plenty of wine from kraters, which fill kylices, eating carcasses and …… after sacrificing animals in a sacred ritual. While the orator recites ……. feats and the food sweetens the body, the consent of the strong men, under the acceptance of the hierarchy between the diners, strengthens their relationships.
